Immerse Yourself in The Phoenician Scheme x Angelika Experience

The Angelika Film Center & Cafe transforms for Wes Anderson’s new star-studded comedy

In collaboration with Focus Features, the Angelika Film Center in New York is celebrating the premiere of Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme by taking audiences on a globetrotting adventure — without ever leaving the theater.

It will be a theater takeover for two weeks beginning Thursday, May 29, as the Angelika will show The Phoenician Scheme on all screens while providing moviegoers an exclusive and immersive experience, transporting them into a world of intrigue themed to the film. The Phoenician Scheme X Angelika Experience will include admission to the film plus photo ops, full-size props and more, designed to usher in the highly anticipated dark tale of espionage.

“We enjoy looking for ways to enhance the movie-going experience for our guests,” said Denise Hughes, senior director of programming for the Angelika. “With all the creativity and curiosity that comes with a Wes Anderson film, we’re honored to be working with Focus Features to take our celebration of The Phoenician Scheme to the next level by giving guests a chance to experience the movie with all of their senses.”

Before heading into the auditorium, guests will have a chance to order a drink from the Marseille Bob’s themed bar, complete with customized menu items including a signature champagne cocktail, strike a pose for photos with the film-inspired Egyptian elevator and vintage train, tap their feet to the band and more.

Admission to the film, access to the immersive experience, an exclusive T-shirt (available at the theater), and The Phoenician Scheme Combo — Large Popcorn, Large Soda, and King Size HERSHEY'S Chocolate Candy Bar.

The Phoenician Scheme X Angelika Experience exclusive merchandise will also be available for purchase at the theater or on www.AngelikaFilmCenter.com.
